Privacy Policy

Samiio is operated by Age In Reverse Pte. Ltd. (“Samiio”, “we”, “us”). At Samiio, your privacy is fundamental to everything we build. This policy explains clearly what personal data we collect through the Samiio app and samiio.com, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

1. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to give you personalised coaching:

• Your name and email address, for your account
• Your health profile: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals and coaching preferences
• Meals you log, including any meal photos, and the nutrition worked out from them
• Your goals and vision, check ins and mood
• Your conversations with your Samiio coach, including any photos you choose to share in the chat
• Health test results you choose to upload (see section 4)
• Data from Apple Health, only if you connect it (see section 3)
• App activity such as sessions played, your Samiio Score, streaks and challenge results
• Your push notification token, only if you allow notifications

2. How we use your data

Your data is used only to run and improve your Samiio experience:

• Personalising your coaching with context about your goals, history and progress
• Calculating your daily Samiio Score, energy balance, recovery and nutrient coverage
• Sending reminders, check ins and your evening debrief, only if you opt in
• Showing your results on leaderboards and in challenges, only if you join them
• Keeping Samiio safe, fixing problems and improving the app over time

3. Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, Samiio reads (but never writes) the data you allow, which can include steps, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, active and resting energy, exercise minutes, weight and blood oxygen. You choose exactly which types Samiio can read, and you can change this at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Health.

We use this data only to give you coaching, your Samiio Score and your energy and recovery insights. We store a small daily summary (for example hours slept and calories burned) so your score and evening debrief work. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it or share it with data brokers.

4. Health test results

If you upload a health test (for example a blood panel, hormone, gut, DNA or biological age report), the file is stored privately so only you can see it. It is analysed by our AI provider (section 6) to produce your summary, key findings and suggestions, and your coach can use those results to personalise your coaching. You can delete any result at any time from My Health Data. Samiio’s analysis is for wellness and education only and is not medical advice.

5. Connected wearables

You can connect Oura directly from your Profile, and we plan to add Whoop. If you connect a wearable, Samiio reads the data you approve on its sign in screen (such as sleep, readiness, heart rate, HRV, activity and blood oxygen) and uses it in the same way as Apple Health data. When new data is ready, the wearable lets us know and Samiio fetches it using your connection. Your connection details are stored securely on our servers and never on your phone.

You can disconnect at any time from Profile. We will then stop reading new data, revoke our access and delete the data we stored from that device.

6. AI coaching and voice notes

Your coaching, meal analysis and test result analysis are powered by Anthropic’s Claude. When you use these features, the relevant context (such as your message, goals, recent nutrition and health data, or the photo or file you shared) is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. We send only what is needed and do not send your email address.

Anthropic handles this data under its own commercial terms and privacy policy, which do not allow it to train its models on our members’ data.

If you send a voice note, the recording is sent to OpenAI’s speech to text service to turn it into text. We don’t keep the recording. OpenAI may hold it for up to 30 days for safety monitoring before deleting it, and doesn’t use it to train its models.

7. Leaderboards

Leaderboards are optional and off until you choose to join. If you join, other Samiio members can see your display name (first name and surname initial, or a nickname you choose), your profile photo if you allow it, and your leaderboard results such as weekly Samiio points and streaks. Your health details, meals and conversations are never shown. You can change these settings or leave at any time, and you are removed straight away.

8. Our website and waitlist

If you join the waitlist on samiio.com, we store your email address and use it only to tell you about Samiio’s launch and important updates. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us to be removed. Our website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google to download them.

9. Storage and security

Your data is stored with Supabase, a secure database and sign in platform. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and row level security means your data can only be accessed by your own signed in account. Photos and files you upload are stored privately.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Samiio: Supabase (database, sign in and file storage), Anthropic (AI coaching and analysis), OpenAI (turning voice notes into text), RevenueCat (managing memberships bought through the App Store; Apple handles the payment and we never see your card details), Resend (sign in and account emails), Expo and Apple (delivering push notifications) and our website host. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

10. We never sell your data

Samiio will never sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we never use your health data for advertising. Your health data is yours. Full stop.

11. Your rights

You have full rights over your personal data, including:

• Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: update anything inaccurate in your profile
• Deletion: delete your account and your data at any time from Profile, then Delete My Account
• Export: ask for your data in a portable format

12. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data (including your profile, meals, photos, test results and conversations) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

13. Children

Samiio is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has created an account, please email hello@samiio.com straight away.

14. Governing law

Samiio is operated by Age In Reverse Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. This policy is governed by the laws of Singapore, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, and any disputes will be resolved by the courts of Singapore.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for important changes we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Samiio after a change means you accept the updated policy.
